forae is built on a simple principle: your data helps you find things happening near you. Nothing more.
What we collect
When you use forae we collect: your email address and display name when you create an account; your date of birth to verify you meet our minimum age requirement (16+); your location when you grant permission, used only to show nearby events; anonymous session data including pages visited, pins tapped, and searches performed; and preferences you set such as favorite categories.
What we do not collect
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers. We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not store your precise location history.
How we use your data
We use your data to show you relevant nearby events, improve the app experience, send you event reminders you've opted into, and keep the platform safe through moderation.
Third parties
forae uses the following third-party services which may process data on our behalf: OpenStreetMap and Nominatim for map and location search; Stripe for payment processing (when applicable); OpenWeb Ninja for event data aggregation; Base44 for app infrastructure. Each of these services maintains their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@forae.io. You can opt out of analytics by declining cookies when prompted.
