foraeCommunity Guidelines
Last updated: April 2026
forae exists to help communities come alive. These guidelines exist to keep it that way.
Post real events
Only post events that are actually happening. Include accurate dates, times, and locations. If details change, update or remove your listing.
Be honest about what you're hosting
Describe your event accurately. Don't use misleading titles or descriptions to attract attendees under false pretenses.
Respect your community
forae is for everyone. Events that discriminate based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic are not welcome here.
Keep it safe
Do not post events that promote violence, illegal activity, or that could put attendees at risk. Age-restricted events must be accurately labeled.
No spam
Don't post duplicate listings or use forae for mass advertising unrelated to local events.
Reporting
If you see something that violates these guidelines, use the Report button on the event page. We review all reports and take action where warranted.
Consequences
Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban depending on severity.
The spirit of it
forae is built for the organizer charging five dollars at the door and the neighbor curious what's happening this weekend. Treat it that way.
